I joined GEOLOG 3 years ago as I was attracted by the oilfield industry and “out-of-the-ordinary” environments.
I was preparing my Master’s Degree in Geosciences in France when I have been recruited directly in my university. Only one week after graduating, I signed my contract and immediately started to travel around Europe. I received an intensive formation in GEOLOG training centers in The Netherlands, Italy and Romania. I still remember how impressed I was when I went for the first time to a rig site, I felt an adrenaline rush, everything was so oversized!
Nowadays, I am feeling proud to be part of this world and to be in control of this tough environment. My first assignment on the field was as a Mud Logger in a geothermal well in the South of Paris, France. Not a bad introduction! I then went to Brazil where I have been trained to become a Gas Specialist, a position I held for two years in North Sea.
My best memories: my colleagues and the good team work we made. I continuously have the opportunity to meet people from all around the world, which is very rewarding. Since November 2016, I have a full-time position in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, as Formation Evaluation Specialist.
In just a few months I have been trained and coached on a variety of tools and I have been involved in Business Development, Research and Marketing.
This is very exciting since GEOLOG is in continuous development and innovation. I am learning every day.
GEOLOG can offer plenty of opportunities to take early responsibilities, all you need is motivation!
