Hello, my name is Matteo and I graduated as a Control and Automation Engineer.
I was hired for the “Fast Track Program”, having a very intensive month of training in Milan, where I learned about the basic principles of Mud Logging and the technical aspects of the system. After that, I went to Romania to the GEOLOG training unit, where I had the possibility to see all I had learned in theory. After the training unit, I was sent to my first job in Kenya as a Mud Logger for two shifts, and after I took and passed the Data Engineer “G-RISE” test. After this, I was sent back to Kenya for eight months working as a Data Engineer.
Thanks to the good training and coaching from the people I was working with I was promoted to the position of Advanced Services Specialist, mainly focused on Advanced Gas. After a training period in Milan, I moved to Brazil where I am currently working and living.
Since working for GEOLOG, I have constantly been challenged and never felt bored. I have always been working on the rig, or performing some trainings and courses and have always been stimulated by my managers.
GEOLOG take care and invest a lot in new technologies and in its personnel, giving me the possibility to grow quickly inside the company.
Thanks to these opportunities, I am enjoying living an international life and really enjoy my job.
